Membership Eligibility
Special Forces Association

Membership is limited to active duty and former Special Forces qualified personnel, and to others who have significantly contributed to the missions and operations of Special Forces units throughout the years.

General Membership may be granted to a person who is or has been a member of the US Army Special Forces (including Reserve and National Guard SF units) who has completed Special Forces training and been awarded a Special Forces designation and if discharged, must have an Honorable Discharge.

General Membership is also acceptable for those who served in the First Special Service Force (The Devil's Brigade), the Office of Strategic Services, the Sixth US Army Special Reconnaissance Unit (Alamo Scouts) and UNPIK-8240 in Korea.

Associate Membership may be granted to a service member who has contributed significantly to the support of Special Forces, or its lineage, in the accomplishment of its mission. Associate membership is acceptable for members of Ranger units of WW II and Korea.
